Macphie Scone Mix is a complete scone mix which requires only the addition of water to make top quality, voluminous scones with a light crumb. The mix has been specially formulated to take 20 - 30% inclusions if desired.
Using a beater, mix 1kg of scone mix and 420g of water (plus any desired inclusions) for one minute on first speed, scrape down and then mix for another 30 seconds on second speed. If desired add 60g of yeast during mixing to produce an even fluffier scone. Roll out the dough and cut shapes as required before allowing to rest for at least fifteen minutes. Bake for 12 minutes at 230 degrees or cook on a hot plate for 3 minutes, 30 seconds each side at 200 degrees.
