Cupcake bouquet


These cupcakes are so easy to make using the Dawn Foods golden genoese cake mix.  Decorate using different colour frosting or use the vanilla frosting as a base and add in the food colouring of your choice.

Ingredients

1000g Dawn Foods golden genoese cake base

400g water (1)

100g vegetable oil

175g water (2)

Dawn Foods vanilla frosting (to use with food colouring)

Dawn Foods chocolate frosting

Strawberry frosting

Lemon frosting

Green sugar paste

Method

Add the golden genoese cake base, water (1) and vegetable oil to a mixing bowl fitted with a beater and mix on slow speed for 1 minute and then 4 minutes on medium speed.

Add the water (2) and continue to mix on slow speed for 1 minute.

Scape down and mix for a further 1 minute on slow speed.

Deposit at 40g into various colour cupcake cases.

Bake in a deck oven at 170°C for 18-20 minutes.

Assembly

Method

While the cupcakes are cooling, place your frostings into piping bags fitted with deep star nozzles.

You can use the vanilla frosting and mix it with food colouring to create other colours.

When the cupcakes are completely cool, decorate with different frostings using a reverse swirl (starting from the centre and working outwards).

Roll out lengths of green sugar paste to represent flower stems.

Try making the flowers all one colour (e.g. red, to form a bouquet of roses).
