A Taste of Summer
Crafted using a recipe from the renowned Dawn Foods, these cake pops start with a soft, fluffy sponge that melts in your mouth. The sponge is expertly baked to perfection with very little time and effort, offering a light and airy texture that serves as the ideal foundation for our fruity creations.

Inside each pop, you'll find a burst of flavour from Dawns Delifruit filling. This fruity surprise is both refreshing and satisfying, capturing the essence of summer with every bite.

These coatings add a delightful crunch and visual appeal, making them as beautiful as they are delicious. What you will need.
- 1000g - Dawn Creme Cake - Plain - or Dawn Creme Cake Base - Chocolate
- 350g - Whole Egg
- 300g - Vegetable Oil
- 225g - Water
- 180g – Dawn Delifruit of your choice
- To decorate - Royal Steensma Souplesse of your choice
- 2 x Lined / greased tray-bake foils (7” x 12”)
- Wooden lollipop sticks
Directions
Creme Cake
- 1000g - Dawn Crème Cake Base - Plain or chocolate
- 350g - Whole Egg
- 300g - Vegetable Oil
- 225g - Water
- 180g - Delifruit of choice
- Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl fitted with a beater (with the exception of the Delifruit). Mix for 1 minute on slow speed and then a further 3 minutes on medium speed.
- Deposit 750g into each prepared tray bake foils.
- Lightly mark the tray into 12 portions and pipe 10-15g of your chosen Delifruit onto the middle of each marked portion.
- Bake in a deck oven at 180⁰C for 30-35 minutes.
- Allow to cool thoroughly.
FINISH
- Decant the baked cake from the foil and trim the edges.
- Cut the cake into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the Chocuise White into a bowl and melt in a microwave or Bain Marie.
- Dip the top of the wooden lollipop sticks in the Chocuise and insert into the narrow end of the cut cake pieces.
- Place all the cake pieces into the freezer for an hour.
- Remove from the freezer and dip the whole cake into melted Chocuise, drain excess and place onto silicone paper lined trays.
- Heat souplesse coating and drizzle over the top part of the coated cake.
- Decorate with sprinkles (optional).
